Church Life Oct. 8

This week we began a new sermon series called "The Venture Project". We have all been called to serve others, because Jesus came and first served us. Serving doesn't have to be something big and elaborate--it can be as simple as writing someone an encouraging note or paying for the coffee of the person behind you. This week, take a moment to slow down and see who you can serve right where you are.

Donuts were everywhere on Sunday! How many did you eat? Pastor Craig began by asking us a few questions: "Is our life in alignment with Jesus?" and "How much of your week is spent in prayer and serving?" He told us that if we just come in to the same seats, join a growth group and don't share the message with others, it's like standing in line at Krispy Kreme but never actually eating the donut. Don't forget to eat the donut by serving others. Our Hunt Club campus served doughnuts to 418 guests, our Lincoln Road campus served doughnuts to 2,072 and our Church Online, had 132 guests. Unfortunately, we haven't figured out how to serve doughnuts via the internet yet.

Pastor Jeff will be back on Sunday so grab a friend or two and come hear his message as we continue "The Venture Project".
