Vision

Venture Church exists to be a church for the unchurched.

 

As a church, our goal is to reach two types of people: people who have never experienced church and people who have given up on church. The environments we create here are consistent with those that we think unchurched people may enjoy: concerts, coffee shops, etc.  We mimic environments like these in our services so that our guests feel comfortable and more receptive to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

 

Mission

Our mission is to lead people to know, love and follow Jesus Christ.

 

We believe that knowing Jesus Christ is more than knowing ABOUT Him; it’s about having a personal relationship with Him. Only in a relationship like this can we see Him for who He truly is, recognize the price He paid for us, and love Him with all that we are. Finally, because of His love for us and our love for Him and others in return, we can step out in faith and follow Him by serving His people and obeying His word.

 

 

Strategy

Here at Venture Church, we have a four-part strategy to help carry out our vision and mission in the community and around the world.

 

The first part is INVITE. We want you to invite others - your friends and even strangers. We’ve created environments that allow people to automatically feel comfortable from the moment they drive into the parking lot. Why is this important? Because when people are relaxed, their hearts are more open to hear the Gospel and to ultimately come to know the transforming love of Christ.

 

The second part of our strategy is INVEST. If you’re looking for a Sunday School class, you won’t find that at Venture. Lots of other churches offer Sunday School, but here at Venture, God has called us to build community in a different way. We believe growth happens in a small group where you can do life together with others - fully known by others while also investing in other people. We like to call this community Growth Groups.

 

The third thing we ask you to do is IMPRESS through serving. We want you to get some skin in the game and use your gifts to serve other people. You may be thinking, “I don’t have any gifts.”  Well, think again!  Anyone can open a door, serve coffee, direct traffic or even serve in worship or production on Sunday mornings. The bottom line is that we believe it is important to IMPRESS people through serving them because you love Jesus and you love other people.

 

The fourth and final thing we ask you to do is IGNITE through giving. You ignite ministry through your financial giving. Much of what happens at Venture is because people like you have given to ignite the vision and mission. Our ultimate vision is to reach 10,000 people in the Pine Belt for Jesus Christ. We are well on our way, and we need you to be a part of the amazing things God is doing through our church!
