Last Sunday, Pastor Jeff continued with the sermon series "Cliques" by talking about how we can form religious cliques. He said we must avoid becoming spiritual snobs. A spiritual snob is a person who believes there is a correlation between social/spiritual status and a person's worth. Do you know anyone that might fall into that category? We can all find ourselves falling into snob territory if we're not careful. Pastor Jeff shared a story from Luke 14: Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, and everyone there watched him to see what He would do. Jesus went on to explain that when we host a party for all of our friends, they will host their own party and invite us, in return. Jesus states we should invite those that are in need, that can't return the favor, so to speak, and by doing this, we will be blessed because they can't repay us but we will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.
We had 412 of our friends join us at our Hunt Club campus, 2,131 join us at our Lincoln Road campus and Church Online had over 100 friends log on. If you missed the sermon, please "clique" here to get caught up.
Club FX, our family worship experience, returns THIS Sunday. Trust us when we say you don't want to miss it! Pack up your vehicle with your family, your neighbor's kids and any other children you can find along the way (with their parent's permission of course!) For more information, click here!
