The curtain has closed on another year of "At the Movies." Hopefully everyone got their fill of popcorn, candy and soda. Even though the movie "Forrest Gump" is twenty-one years old, it still seems to be as popular as ever. We had 436 movie goers at our Hunt Club campus, 2,292 at our Lincoln Road campus and 157 movie watchers at our Online Campus. If "At the Movies" had it's own Oscars, Pastor Jeff should be nominated for "Best Addition to a Movie" because in our final throwback movie, he reminded us of so many truths. We are all broken, but we are pursued by Christ. Nothing in our lives happen by chance, and we serve a God who hears us. There is nothing we can ever do that will make us too far gone for God to stop loving us.
Last month we challenged you to pray for people you all hoped to bring to church during "At the Movies." How many of those people attended with you or maybe even joined us at our Online Campus? We are praying that those that did come for the first time will return to learn more about Venture Church. If you missed the chance to invite someone--it's never too late! In fact, this Sunday, with the return of our worship bands and the start of a brand new series "House Party," is another perfect time to invite someone!
Though it feels like summer just started, fall is already on it's way. On Sunday, fall Growth Group sign up begins. Stop by the Adults booth in the atrium of either campus or check out the adults page starting Sunday morning to find the group that is just right for you.
Have a blessed weekend!
