This past Sunday, we got to sing along to some of our favorite Disney songs as we watched The Lion King. Pastor Jeff shared with us that sometimes we try to rush God's perfect plan for our lives, but God's timing is always perfect. He mentioned that many of us tend to be plaqued with anxiety and worries when we get hung up in the mistakes of our past. We have to remember that God forgives us no matter what we've done; he loves us no matter what. Instead of worrying, pray. Remember the you are a child of God and stay grounded in your identity to Christ.
All you had to do was look around Sunday morning to realize that it was one of your favorite movies this month -- we had 2,343 in attendance at our Lincoln Road campus, 449 in attendance at our Hunt Club and 153 at Church Online.
This Sunday may be the last week in our "At the Moves" series, but it's not too late to ask someone to come with you. This Sunday, we'll be showing Forrest Gump. You may never know what you're going to get in the chocolate box of life, but you know what you're going to get at "At the Movies" -- popcorn, drinks, and a great time for the whole family.
