On Father's Day, Pastor Jeff continued our "Wired" series. He reminded us that we can turn God down by "tuning Him out and doing our own thing." We also must remember that our spouses, children and friends make horrible gods but God makes an awesome God! We welcomed 349 people at our Hunt Club campus, 1,981 at our Lincoln Road campus and 133 at our Church Online campus. Those of you at our Lincoln Road campus got two see how God had changed two lives when they were baptized. If you missed last week's sermon, or any other sermon, click here to get caught up.
This Sunday, 154 students and leaders will be leaving for Mission Arlington in Arlington, TX. They will be running Backyard Bible Clubs as well as helping with various work projects. Please be in prayer for them, for not only safe travels, but that God's will be done.
Pastor Jeff will finish up our June "Wired" sermon series this Sunday. All of you know what happens at Venture Church in July--yep, it's movie time! We are watching throwback movies this year that include Pastor Jeff sharing the biblical truths that can be found in the movies. We will have snacks and drinks to make it feel just like the total cinema experience. The only thing we want you to do is ask people to come with you! It's the easiest time of year to invite those who might not otherwise attend church. We will begin July 5th with "Back to the Future".
