Church Life June 11

On Sunday, Pastor Jeff began our new sermon series "Wired". He began by telling us about a bumper sticker that many of us have seen on the highways and byways of our daily lives. The bumper sticker states, "Prayer - first wireless communication system". He also told us "that we talk to God because He talks to us" and "that some people don't pray because they don't know God." Many people don't believe that God speaks to them because they can't hear His voice but God speaks to us in many ways. God speaks to us through the Bible, our Church, our life experiences and prayer. If you missed this sermon, or any other sermon, please click here.

On Sunday, you were invited to think about who you're going to invite to come to At the Movies with you this July. So many of you already have someone in mind! Over 400 names were written on magnents and added to our prayer wall. If you didn't have a chance to add a name, or have someone else you've decided to pray for, don't worry. You'll have time in each service throughout the "Wired" series to use the prayer wall.

At our Lincoln Road Campus, we had 2,025 people attend, at our Hunt Club Campus, we had 414 and 168 joinied us at our Online Campus. Those of you in our East Venue and our Hunt Club Campus were blessed to witness one baptism at each location. Pastor Jeff will continue the "Wired" series on Sunday so invites some friends and let's fill up those seats!

If you haven't already done so, please download our Venture App so that you don't miss out on any of the extra "Wired" content throughout the week! In addition, our Venture App has many great features to make signing up for events, catching up on sermons and giving much easier.

It's still not too late to sign up for Adult Growth Groups or our Recovery Groups. To find out more and get signed up, please go to our Adults Booth in the atrium at either campus or click here for growth groups and here for Recovery.

Another year of Summer Experience is now in the record books. Over 800 people were on campus this week for Summer Experience. Over $1500 was raised for both local and global missions, and 25 decisions were made to accept Christ! We can't thank our Venture staff and all of the volunteers who made it all possible this year!

For those of you that helped with Summer Experience, get some much needed rest. We hope to see you Sunday at church!
