If you attended church Sunday or watched us online, you heard Pastor Craig say how excited he was to be spending his Spring Break 2015 in Hattiesburg! We assume that all of you were excited too because we had 334 at our Hunt Club Campus, 1,441 at our Lincoln Road Campus and 144 at our online campus. Those of you in the East Venue were blessed to witness one baptism.
Our talented worship team played a wonderful acoustic set. Yes, we like our music loud at Venture (ear plugs are at every entrance) but it's refreshing when we get to enjoy something different.
Pastor Craig's sermon was spot on for everyone who heard it. He asked, "Are you a consumer or a contributor"? He talked about how all of us have a gift that God has given us to use and share with others. You might be in a season where you need to be a "consumer" at church and need to be fed. We understand but you also might be a person who needs to step up and share your God-given gift and "contribute". That can be in serving, in giving, in mentoring, in inviting or by encouraging others. Pray about where God would like you to contribute within our church and then get plugged in. Remember Pastor Jeff says, "You need to have skin in the game."
