Church Life Sept. 25

Welcome to our Church Life blog. We hope you enjoy these weekly updates about the life of our church family.

As you read our weekly blog, have you noticed that our attendance numbers continue to grow? We are so thankful that all of you are taking our “no seat left behind” rule seriously. The Hunt Club had 372 in attendance and the Lincoln Road Campus had 2607 in attendance. In addition, our Lincoln Road Campus folks were blessed to witness five people, two in the North Venue and three in the East Venue, come to Christ and further their walk with the Lord in baptism.

Now don’t forget if you aren’t able to come worship with us in person, you can jump online to watch our service, just like 124 people did this past weekend.

Last Sunday night we held our very first one night Next Step class at our Lincoln Road Campus. We had a great turnout and look forward to seeing more of each of you that attended.

This coming Sunday, we will have our very first one night Next Step class at the Hunt Club. After the class, we will have a campus cookout. If you need more information or need to sign up, you can do that online.

Tuesday, 142 college students attended The Bridge at the Hunt Club campus. If you aren’t familiar with The Bridge program, The Bridge is a monthly gathering of college students from all across the Pinebelt. You will experience high-energy worship that challenges you personally and nights that give you an opportunity to meet and get to know new people. The Bridge meets at the Hunt Club campus, one Tuesday night a month at 8 p.m. Keep watching for the dates of the next meeting. You don’t want to miss it!

This Sunday, Pastor Jeff will finish up with his “Fractured” sermon series. This past weekend he reminded us that our family history, our birth place, or being sprinkled or dedicated as a baby doesn’t make us a Christian. There’s only one way to become a Christian and that is through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Pastor Jeff also talked about having vertical and horizontal grief, as well as wordly grief and Godly grief. If you missed this powerful message, you can catch up here.

Hope you take time to enjoy this beautiful fall-like weather that God has blessed us with! See you on Sunday!
